UPDATE: This "for the fun of it" project has come back to the fore-front and is now a real site, 100% conceptualized, designed, and implemented (and written) by me.

This is a site I created as a personal project, for a portfolio piece (and possibly, eventually, a functioning store for buying stickers and other products).

I created the design in Photoshop, and constructed the XHTML and CSS from scratch and then converted it to a (very simple) WordPress theme, just for the fun of it.  You can visit the live site here.

I took extra care to be as semantic as possible with the structure on this project.  There are only two superfluous div's: one is the "wrapper", and one is an empty clearing div to force the faux-column image to extend all the way to the footer.

As with all my designs, this site displays correctly even in IE6, and the HTML and CSS both validate with the W3C validator.
